Ollie Vernon Stark

Ollie Vernon Stark, beloved husband, father, & PawPaw passed away May 16, 2016. He was born September 10, 1919 in Lawson, Texas, the son of Clayton Frank Stark and Mable Estie McKenzie Stark. Mr. Stark served his country proudly in the US Army in World War II. As a veteran he cherished his time at the American Legion and had been a member for over 65 years. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Forney, Texas and was active as long as he was able. He was also a Mason. He retired from a career as an independent sales rep and also was a business owner. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rodney Stark; granddaughter, Brandi Stark; sisters, Lucille Walker, Earnestine Cook & Hazel Rutherford; brothers, Ewell, Frank, Linn & Erwin Stark. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Helen Marie Dozier Stark; son, Leslie Vernon Stark & wife, Murlene; granddaughters, Kristen Pearce & husband, Mark and Tiffany Chick & husband, Donny; great grandchildren, Hunter, Fisher & Lilly Pearce, Krystle Fuller & husband, Jake, Aubrey & Austin Chick; great-great grandchildren Ty & Liberty Fuller. Funeral Service is 2:30 PM Friday May 20, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 414 W. Broad St. Forney, TX 75216. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Friday at the church (prior to the service).
