Charles Frank Haynes, 70, of Forney, passed away on March 24, 2014; in Mesquite. He was born on August 13, 1943, in Pendleton, Oregon, to Frank Haynes and Jessie Jewel (Duke) Haynes. Charles enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and reminiscing with family. He was a dedicated man and worked as a Greyhound Bus Driver for 35 years until his retirement. While employed there, Charles earned a 35-year Service Award and a 35-year Safety Award for his hard work, safety and dedication to his career. He was also a devoted husband and was married to his beloved wife, Melinda, for almost 35 years. He was a wonderful, caring man and will be missed by all who knew him. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Haynes, daughter Pamela Haynes, son Charlie Haynes, Jr., brother-in-law Mark A. Nash and father and mother- in-law Mack and Maggie Nash. Those left to celebrate his life are wife, Melinda (Nash) Haynes; children: Trista Haynes and husband Joseph Albers of The Colony, and Johnathan Haynes of Forney; grandchildren: Tristan Albers and Kenzie Rae Albers; twin sister Mary Spykes and husband Buddy of Odessa; and niece Rhonda Spykes and husband Mark Flowers of Odessa, as well as many friends and relatives. Celebration of Life was held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 4 p.m. at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell. Condolences may be made at www.andersonclaytonterrell.com
