Forney artist’s work wins top honors at county fair

Blue, red and purple ribbons cover the corners of local artist Mary Penn’s artwork, selected for top honors at the recent Kaufman County Fair, part of the 2014 Kaufman County Junior Livestock Show held the last week of March. “My art claimed Best of Category, Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion, in addition to first place ribbons for my division,” shared Penn in an interview Tuesday.
