Forney football teams lose; FHS volleyball has huge win

Both of Forney ISD’s varsity football teams suffered devastating losses this week but there’s some good news, too: the Forney High School varsity volleyball team had a huge win Friday night.

In a game played Thursday night, Oct. 20, the North Forney High School Falcon football team lost to Jovejoy at City Bank Stadium. The score was Lovejoy 21, North Forney 7. Loveyoy is the number 1 5-A high school football team in the state.

In a game played Friday night, also at City Bank Stadium, the Forney High School Jackrabbits lost to the state-ranked Highland Park Scots, 44-7.

But in a surprise win Friday night, the Forney High School varsity Lady Jackrabbit volleyball team beat the Lady Scots 3 games to 2. The Highland Park volleyball team is currently among the top five in Dostrict 5-A.
