Shooting by Forney police officer under investigation

On Sunday, January 3, 2016, at approximately 2100 hours, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a possible domestic in progress at FM 2932 and FM 741. We were informed that Officer C. Prewitt of the Forney Police Department, who was off duty and in plain clothes, stopped to render aid at what he thought was a motorist assist.
