Eight new volunteers for Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) were sworn in on Monday, November 21. Pictured from left to right are: Angel Cleveland, Mac McDaniel, Jerry Francis, Stephanie Francis, Judge Brett Hall, Melinda Odom, Danielle Oliveira, Tiffany Dunkin and Candius Truscott. CASA volunteers complete 30 hours of training, including court observance, a tour of CPS and a visit to a children’s emergency shelter. Lone Star CASA volunteers advocate for children in foster care in Kaufman and Rockwall counties.
