The Forney Museum of Forney History officially opened to the public Saturday. The official opening was marked by an outdoor dedication ceremony. The morning’s activities culminated in a ribbon-cutting by the Forney Chamber of Commerce. A welcome by Charles Beason, current board president of the Forney Historic Preservation League, the organization that remodeled the new location for the library and has worked for several years to compile its contents. The color guard from Forney ISD’s Junior Air Force ROTC presented the colors, and everyone present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
