Christmas for the KIDS

On Saturday, the temperature was around 72 by noon. By 7:00 a. m. Sunday, the thermometer had plunged more than 50 degrees to register a bonechilling 21 with a cutting north wind. It didn’t matter that temperatures never even reached the freezing mark Sunday in an Arctic blast that brought some of the coldest temperatures in more than a year to North Texas. In spite of the cold and a persistent wind that made it seem even colder, the Forney Lions Club warmed the hearts of almost 100 local families in need during their 2016 Christmas for the Kids party at Johnson Elementary School.
