A Christmas I will always remember

My father was born and raised in Connecticut. In the early 1950s he joined the Air Force and found his way to Texas. He fell in love and married a Texas girl and nine months and one day later I was born at Brooks General Hospital at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. By the time I turned one, my dad’s stint with the Air Force was over. So our little family moved to his home in New Haven, Connecticut. We would live there until I was five. We lived upstairs in a two story apartment house along with several other families.
