Three Rights Make a Left

The car quest

Last week I told you about hitting a deer outside Lubbock. I know it isn’t the most likely place on earth. It happened on Tuesday. By Friday I called the insurance company and pressed for an answer if the van was repairable. Late Friday afternoon I finally got the prognosis. My 2010 Chrysler Town and Country was a total loss. I had mixed emotions because it was a good vehicle. I informed my office in Nashville and my director told me, “Just pick out a vehicle in Texas and we will register it there.” I told him I would wait until I got back home to start looking. However, on Saturday I started looking at what was available. I had rented a Chevrolet Equinox and I really like it. I had decided to find something smaller and better on gas. I looked at crossovers which are between a car and an SUV and found several I really liked. Some were really good on gas but were equipped with 4 cylinder engines. I felt like with all of the driving I do in the mountains I needed at least six cylinders. However, every time I looked at the option of a bigger engine the price dropped considerably.
