The campaigns are over, the voters have spoken— Now let’s all work for the good of Forney
During early voting and on May 9—the date of Forney’s municipal and school trustee elections—between 1,200 and 1,300 voters went to the polls in both elections. Although voter turnout was low, those who did cast ballots have spoken. In Forney’s municipal election, they elected a new Mayor and one new City Council member, David Johnson, to the Place 6 seat vacated by the retirement of Council member Andy
Parker. At the same time, they returned City Council incumbents Ray Stephens and Scott Regan to Places 3 and 4, respectively.
