Dear Susan:
In the scheme of things, my problem is really nothing, but it still bothers me a lot. I’m 19 and my parents split up when I was one or two. I really don’t remember my father and he has been out of the picture most of my life. I’ve only met him a few times and he’s never made any attempt to communicate beyond that. My mother remarried and had another son. He’s only 16, but he’s huge! Where I’m 5’9” and 160, he’s already 6’ and weighs 220. Everyone says he’ll have a chance to be a pro football player. People assume I’m a nerd, but I’m really not that good in school. In fact I’m not really good at anything. Whenever we meet new people, they always say they can’t believe we’re brothers. Some have even asked if I was adopted.
