David Wayne Smith

David Wayne Smith of Forney passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends on September 14, 2016. Born January 1, 1960 to James Dale and Nancy Jean Davis Smith in Dallas, Texas where he grew up and attended school. David was preceded in death by his uncle, Billy Wayne Smith. Although he had many Obituaries interests, David had the reputation as a man’s man and he especially enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and boxing. He had a sense of humor that made immediate friends from anyone who he had just met. He had a love for living life to the fullest and he leaves a legacy of memories with all whose lives he touched. David is survived by his loving wife Deandra Smith of Forney, daughters: Kylie Nicole Smith; Crystal Rae Pettijohn and husband, Matthew; grandchild, Hunter Lane Pettijohn; parents, James and Nancy Smith of Forney; sisters: Cindy Griffin and husband Danny, Judy Currin and husband Harold as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.
