Billy Thomas Hairston, 81, of Forney, Texas, passed away May 24, 2014. Billy was born October 30, 1932. Billy was born in Warren, Arkansas to William Gethro “Jettie” and Verbina Hairston. Proceeded in death by his sister Virgie Lee Shirey. Billy is sur vived by his wife Bobbie Suzanne Hairston, children Kathy Butler of Dayton, Texas, Amanda Benat and husband Kyle Foster and Amy Benat of Forney, Texas, Stan Hairston and wife Susan of Madisonville, Texas and Billy Dole Hairston of Dayton, Texas. Remembering Papaw with unforgettable memories are his six grandchildren, Carlie Benat, Jamie Benat, Jessica Graham, Jayla Walker, Brandi Gabehart and Nicole Swaters and 2 greatgrandchildren. Billy was loved deeply by his brothers and sisters, Ann Harrod, Iva McDougald, Freda Green and husband Johnny, Florance Brown, Sudie Duck, Lawrence Hairston and wife Debbie and Billy Hairston “Little Bill.” Also, very significant in his life, Linda Sue Herring, who has always been like a sister to him. Billy will be loved and missed by many nieces and nephews, and all who knew him.
