My column this week is inspired by a movie review done for this week’s issue by our movie review columnist, Mary Draughon. She reviewed the movie Free Birds, a PG-rated offering about two turkeys who go back into time to try to stop the Pilgrims and the Native Americans from serving turkey at the first Thanksgiving. “ ‘Free Birds’ is mediocre at best, and probably not worth 91 minutes of your time plus the price of tickets, popcorn and drinks for the kids,” Draughon concludes.
