Messenger shows K students advances in technology

Today, in response to a request from a kindergarten teacher at Claybon Elementary, Cary Griffin, publisher of the Forney Messenger gave a talk to the kindergarten classes at Claybon. Griffin was asked to tell and show the kindergarte students how tachnology has advanced in the newspaper business.
Griffin used visuals to show the kinds of machines that have been used in publishing from the days of the hot-metal Linotype to today’s mulii-media Apple McIntosh systems. The childern o-o-h’d and a-h-h’d as they passed visuals aroung during Griffin’s talk. The photos showed how newspaper technology has become more compact yet able to do more and more.
