Beavers wins runoff in race for County Sheriff

In voting that culminated with runoff primary day voting Tuesday, voters in Kaufman County elected Bryan Beavers in a runoff for County Sheriff. Beavers, who has no Democratic opponent, was pitted against Tim Spillman in the runoff. Both men were seeking to fill a vacancy created when longtime Kaufman County Sheriff David Byrnes chose not to seek another term.
