I met the love of my life my first week in college. After a yearlong engagement we married in a beautiful park, under the eucalyptus trees in California. After our honeymoon we began our life together in Texas. A year later we bought our first house. Often while my new bride was sleeping, I would just watch her. I would almost have to pinch myself at the thought that her heart belongs to me. Seven years later our first son, TJ, was born. He was the most precious little thing I had ever seen. I couldn’t believe the hospital would actually let us take this perfect little person home. But they did. Words cannot describe how great I felt to be a dad. I bought him a football and baseball gear before he could sit up by himself.
