Blessings and Backpacks

Last Saturday morning, First Presbyterian Church  of Forney continued what is becoming a cherished tradition  by holding its annual “Blessings and Backpacks”  back-to-school event. This is the sixth year for this ministry, which began in August,  2010. Between 9:00 and noon Aug. 8, school children who qualified for the church handed out 202 backpacks filled with basic school supplies like notebook paper, spiral notebooks, folders, drawing paper, pencils, glue sticks, etc.
