Winter arrives early

An icy Winter Wonderland and power outages greeted residents across Forney and the DFW metroplex on Friday morning, Dec. 6. Below freezing temperatures lasted through Sunday afternoon. Forney ISD announced on Thursday evening, Dec. 5, that school would be closed, in preparation for the winter forecast. The bad weather makeup day for all FISD campuses will occur on Fri., May 23, 2014.
