Morgan Whitney Howell did prison time for being a felon in possession of a weapon. Some six months ago, Morgan was released to a probation officer. But because she was a felon with few personal recourses and little backing from her community, there was a good chance that she would eventually end up back in prison— until she learned about a program being administered by the honorable Judge B. Michael Chitty, Judge of Kaufman County’s 442nd District Court.
