Cub Scout Pack 1857 holds annual Blue and Gold Banquet
By CARY GRIFFIN
This February marks the 107th birthday of Boy Scouting in the U. S. Lord Baden-Powell of England founded the organization, and by 1910 it had migrated across the pond. Soon, boys in state after state began joining the fledgling Boy Scouts of America. In observance of the anniversary of Boy Scouting in the U. S., Cub Scout packs throughout the nation hold their annual Blue and Gold Banquets every February. The banquets not only mark the birthday of Boy Scouting; the occasion is used to present awards to Cub Scouts for their accomplishments.
