Illegal immigration: Apathy or the New Reconstruction?

This week I am at Lori’s childhood home in Chula Vista, California. The news here has been wall-to-wall coverage of buses full of recent immigrants being turned back by protesters. From Facebook it is clear that is the dominant story back home. From the outset I will make it clear this column is my opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Forney Messenger.
