Thoughts after Presidents Day, 2017

Americans celebrated Presidents Day Monday, and as I thought about its significance, I had a few ideas I felt were worth writing about. The Constitution provides what I think of as the underpinnings of American democracy—the glue that holds our system of government and way of life together. They are the right to vote, freedom of expression, and freedom of religion.
