We were told to repent (turn away) from our sins and turn to the Lord to receive forgiveness of our sins and receive eternal life with the gift of the Holy Spirit. All that had to happen to be saved from eternal damnation, but what happens when our sins come back in full force and trap on every side? What happens when we weaken and commit sins against GOD after we are saved? More often than not we get in a big mess. Many times when we discover what we have done against GOD, we try to “fix” it ourselves. Time after time we try and fail to come back to GOD by ourselves. When we find out that we cannot come back in our own strength, we find that GOD is waiting with open arms, and maybe smiling at our puny attempts to find Him on our own. Only GOD has the power and desire to love all people with unconditional love.
