I would like to offer my personal interpretation of the events that took place just after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the coming of the Holy Spirit. First: All of the Jews and most of the nations thought that “THE CHRIST” was going to come and restore the nation of Israel and set up His Kingdom immediately. The Jews, over the years since the law was given to Moses, had added so much to the law that Jesus had to spend about three plus years in teaching his followers and getting them straightened them out with the real truth. Even after Jesus’ teaching and demonstrating His power and authority, the Jews still believed He would restore the kingdom at any minute. On
the day He ascended, they asked if He was going to restore the kingdom then. He told them they were not supposed to know when that was going to happen.
