Gen. 1:2: “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of GOD was hovering over the face of the waters.” I believe GOD is telling us the earth was similar to all the other planets when it was created. GOD then chose the earth to prepare for mankind’s existence. To me that means GOD is very close and personal with mankind. We can see when GOD started to prepare the earth He carefully made each element and substance for human use. (Spiritual beings have no need of physical things).
