Tammy Jo Goforth

Tammy Jo Goforth loved her Lord, her family and her friends and on May 17, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones, she was received into heaven. She was a warrior who fought illness for many years with grace. Born in Dallas, Texas on October 3, 1958 she lived most of her life in the Forney area. She was active in Forney’s Pee Wee Football, Drill Team, Cheer and FFA. Devoted to her children, she was a nurturing “mamma” to many others, loved animals and was willing to help anyone. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Dennis and Taylor Blanche Tucker and sister, Virginia Ann Tucker. She is survived by her children: son, John Dennis and wife Tamira L ynn Gofor th; daughter, Jenny Amanda Goforth; and son, Jordan Wayne and wife, Rachel Anne Goforth; brother, Roland Malcomn and wife, Susie Tucker and brother, Tommy Glen Tucker. Grandchildren include Patrick William Boyce; Sean Taylor Boyce; Hadyn Jerome Boyce; Jessie Marie Goforth and Preston Tyler Duncan. She will be missed by many extended family members and close friends. Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 1 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church in Forney. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
