Rachel Janeice Staley

Rachel Janeice Staley was born on October 6, 1995 and entered into the glory of her Lord, Jesus Christ, suddenly on June 11, 2014, at the age of eighteen years old. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, jimmy T. Staley, on April 3, 2014. She is sur vived by her mother, Lorie Dee Staley; her grandmother, Norma J. Staley; her uncle and aunt, Greg T. and Renee Staley, and their daughter, Katie Staley; and her great grandmother, Irma Womack. There are numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many friends. Rachel was a lifelong member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church on Forney, Texas. She sang beautifully in the Adult services and played piano solos on special occasions. She had taken piano lessons for fourteen years from her loved teacher, Mrs. Mary Poe. She had also attended Church in the City, Rowlett, TX on Wednesday nights and enjoyed participating in the Praise and Worship and hearing Jeremy Parham preach. Rachel began her education at Mimosa Lane Baptist Playschool in Mesquite, Texas, then Claybon Elementary School in Forney, Texas. She enrolled in Rockwall Christian Academy her seventh grade year. While attending RCA, she participated in various activities, including Praise Band, volleyball, and softball. She supported the Warrior football and basketball teams. She was commissioned into Ladies of Honor on November 12, 2013. She recently finished editing the RCA Yearbook for 2014. Rachel graduated Rockwall Christian Academy on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Church in the City, Rowlett, Texas, with more than 500 people attending. Officiating were James R. Jones, Rev. Tony Rorie, and Rev. Leonard E. Jackson, III. Pallbearers were Chad Womack, Dean Womack, Michael Womack, Wade Womack, David Manning, and Jonathan Manning. Interment was at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.
