Joyce Luckey, long-time Forney resident, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2014. Joyce lived in Forney for over 42 years with her husband of 63 years, W.A. Luckey. She was active in church and taught Sunday School over the years, was a member of First Baptist Forney, loved to cook and crochet, but most of all, she loved the Lord and her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Joyce was born August 10, 1930 in the North Central town of Posey Texas to Sherman and Grace Glossup. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Lloyd. She is survived by her husband W.A., sister Margaret Bangs, brother Doug Glossup and wife Jo, son Mark Luckey, son Greg Luckey and wife Debbie, grandson Leighton and wife Rosalie, and granddaughter Kyndall. Services were directed by their friend and pastor of 40 years, Rev. Jerry Griffin of First Baptist Forney.
