Fred (Frederick) J. Lane, Jr.

Fred (Frederick) J. Lane, Jr., 75, of Terrell, TX formerly a Forney resident passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Fred was bor n on December 21, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to Dorothy Clark and Frederick Jackson Lane. Fred was known as Jack to family and friends to eliminate confusion of father and son. He was a graduate of DelHaas High School in Bristol, PA. After graduation Fred enlisted in the U. S. Navy and proudly served for 3 ½ years in Naples, Italy. Fred was a loyal member of Teamsters Local 830 Union and was employed at Sav-O-Mat Beverages in Bensalem, PA as beverage Warehouse Manager for 24 years. After moving to Florida he continued his career at Wm Thies & Sons until he retired. Fred was a long time member Obituaries at the Layden Senior Center, where he enjoyed the fellowship and spending quality time with many dear friends Fred is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, brother David & Charlotte Lane, sister Debbie Pucher, daughters MeriBeth Ghost and MauraLee Pucher and stepson Lee Levy. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations in Fred’s memory, donations to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke in Bethesda, MD, would be appreciated. A memorial ser vice celebrating Fred’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. At the Trinity Family Church, 1511 W. Alamosa Dr., Terrell, TX 75160.
