American Legion recognizes WWII veteran

Jerrell Julian, a veteran of World War II, was recently honored at a dinner meeting of the American Legion in Forney. Mr. Julian served with the U.S. Army from 1939 to 1945 in the 111th Engineer Battalion of the 36th Division. He served 26 months overseas and 366 days in combat. After his military service, he began a career in education serving as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in various districts in Texas.
