A lot of my clients (and my family and friends) are mysophobic. For the uninitiated, that means a fear of germs, myso being Greek for “uncleanliness”. You wouldn’t think there would be so much fuss over stuff so small you can’t even see it, but it is a big problem. And let me tell you, it is no fun believing you face certain death every time you touch a door knob. Where this phobia comes from is up for grabs. Some people point to childhood illnesses, the loss of loved ones to disease and/or media hype.
