Stranger Than Most

I have some dear friends who are avowed, lifelong Buddhists. I love to visit them because their house is so CALM. There is no blaring TV, not even a radio. Nothing but breeze and birdsong. I always leave there so invigorated, so refreshed. But once I’m back in my “real” world, I quickly lose all that peacefulness and go back to being an average, frantic American. The temptation grows stronger every year to delve more deeply into this religion and capture the source of that blissful calmness.
