Laymen’s Corner
GOD says: Whatever your hands find to do, do it with your might. That might not be as easy as it sounds. Suppose you were building a small table and on the underside there was a little spot where you missed some paint. It is hidden and no one will ever see it. Well guess what, there is one who does see it, and His name is GOD the Father. Now that missed spot is not a great problem, but if we pretend that the table is perfect, we would be fooling ourselves into thinking that it is perfect because no one can see the spot we missed. I’m afraid that we are all caught up in that kind of thinking. Most of those little things are really not big problems here, but they sometimes cause us to apply the same kind of thinking about GOD’S work and the obligations we have in our daily Christian lives. One of the best examples I can think of is that when women go shopping they go all out in the effort. Very few racks of clothing or things they are shopping for get by them. (I may have to leave town after this).
