It’s time to end the culture of violence that’s taken over the NFL
In the past two weeks, two prominent NFL football players have been accused of violence toward other people. Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice is currently facing charges of beating his wife inside an elevator— a crime that might have gone unpunished if it hadn’t been for a video that was taken as the crime occurred. Rice has been cut by his team and suspended by the league indefinitely. And Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings has been similarly disciplined after being accused of child abuse by spanking his child with a switch.
