HOPPIN’ AROUND

Media should stop glorifying the perpetrators of horrendous crimes

with Cary.

This week, I’m going to criticize my own profession. The news media, particularly the national and televised media, have developed a habit of going on a “feeding frenzy” whenever a huge story breaks. Personally, I often think that those feeding frenzies have almost as much to do with a need to fill up page space or TV time as they have to do with a desire to keep the public informed.
