Americans have every reason to be concerned about President Donald Trump’s ban on individuals seeking to immigrate from some seven predominantly Muslim countries.

Because of an executive order Trump signed, over the weekend U. S. airports were forced to turn back those coming into this country on international flights from the targeted nations.

The ban accomplished what Trump intended it to but it also had some serious unintended consequences, including keeping out immigrants who carried green cards giving them legal residence in the U. S. and immigrants fleeing persecution in their homelands.
